I want to donload SteamOS for my pc

but it downloads Steam Deck Image intead of zip file as it says on SteamOS page and when i download it is not running it says the file is corruped any idea why?

Because Valve replaced the SteamOS download with the Steam Deck Image as you’ve said. While it’s the incorrect thing, it’s still better than actually installing it as SteamOS is extremely outdated and not-recommended.
Either wait for the official port of SteamOS 3 to other devices, or use ChimeraOS[chimeraos.org] or HoloISO[github.com].

There is no official image for your PC. If you have an AMD gpu, the go download HoloISO, which is pretty much the same like the official image for SteamDeck, only tailored for PC. If you have a NVIDIA gpu then go for ChimeraOS, but this one is still a bit "wanky". But it will get better for sure in the next months. And if you really want the official SteamOS, you have to wait until Valve releases it for PC.
Really: If you have a AMD gpu, then go for HoloISO! It is almost perfect. Great version of SteamOS for the PC!

Because that video is nearly 2 years old, and siince then Steam OS 2 was deprecated.
