This explains why it won't log into a SteamOS session. Games that work look HD2500-horrific too.
Also llvmpipe is software rendering not GPU hardware accelerated. Something isn't working or configured right.
Thanks for Mesa !!
plus update the main page of steamos : http://store.steampowered.com/steamos/
it has no link to here or there http://repo.steamstatic.com/ [ the removed link leads to the repo root.... [that smells males-war 8]
i hope the [ surely but not certain ] coming steamos 3... will be able to run from a usb-stick and use files from a win install ...[ linux can read - write onto M$ NTFS FATs exFAT... ]
may be boss could hire me for something like hl mod opposing-force : but for hl2 and the new source 2 ...
i tried to create it with synergy or hl2-cinematic-mod ... but devs look too-tired [ or too old ] to be inventive... here is a post telling the reordered story : http://cinematicmod.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=4066#p11579
it s a hl2 with less cinematics and much more actions...something to play coop with a steamos ' machine ...or regular pcs ;"]
Had a similar issue a while back... looked into the logs, etc... finally noticed I had my tv in the wrong hdmi port
