Rules & Regulations of the North European Coalition Tuesday Friday Linebattles (NECTFL)

In order to create a more fair and balanced playing experience within the North American Napoleonic Wars community, these rules and regulations have been developed in order to properly and quickly organize Line Battle events with minimal effort.

MATCHMAKING
• Matches within the NEC are as follows:
o Matches occur on the Tuesday and Friday of each week.
o The map is played until one team reaches 3 victories. (best out of 5 rounds)
o Whichever team wins 2 maps wins the night. (best out of 3 maps)

LINEBATTLES
• In the linebattles:
o A minimum company of 8 players are required per regiment to participate. (If you have less than that you must find another regiment to merc for)
o To play as anything besides line infantry, light infantry, or guard infantry, you must fill out the form below and PM it to Tico on the forums.
o Artillery teams have a max cap of 2 guns, and 10 men.
o Skirmishers have a max cap of 10 men.

Fridays Gamemodes: Battle

o Line infantry only; Line/Foot Guard units.
o Artillery and skirmishers allowed only if enough regiments apply to the position beforehand.

Tuesdays Gamemodes: Battle, Siege, Conquest will be rotated

o Line infantry (Line/Guards)
o Skirmishers (Light Infantry)
o Cavalry (Heavy/Dragoon)
o Artillery (Cannon/Rocket)
o Maximum 1 Skirmisher detachments allowed per team. (REGIMENTS MUST ASK TO HAVE ONE)
o Maximum 1 Artillery detachment per team. (REGIMENTS MUST ASK TO HAVE ONE)
o Maximum 1 Cavalry detachment per team. (REGIMENTS MUST ASK TO HAVE ONE)

LINE ETIQUETTE
• Individual line infantry regiments are to:
o Utilize spacing of half a man's body. (A player should not be able to run in between men in line).
o Fill gaps after the reload stage of volleying. (reload and fill gaps before firing)
o Refrain from kneeling in line (Unless forming double ranks).
o Maintain proper line discipline, and refrain from individual attacks. (Ramboing)
o Whilst firing, line infantry regiments are to:
o Ensure that their men are in lines of at least three men.
o When not in formation, firing is only allowed once melee has been engaged by the regiments.
o If you want all of your men to fire in unison again then you must reform back into a line.
o Refrain from deliberately targeting a leading officer of any regiment. Have some honor.

GAME MODERATION
• Within linebattles, a pre-assigned host administrator will be present. This administrator will oversee game preparations, linebattle rules, and is tasked with ensuring that all regiments present will abide by the rules.
o The administrator may or may NOT be in spectator mode for the duration of the battle.
o The administrator will note any rule infractions, and will slay the offending player in the next round.
o Resets will be given at the beginning of each round to ensure that each Regiment is ready for battle. Resets will not be given out otherwise (barring any special circumstances).
• In addition to the administrator, other Regimental leaders of the NEC will be allowed to note any rule infractions and either report them to the official Server Admin OR under extreme cases deliver punishment themselves.
