8bit music mod?

I'm just curious if anyone is working on or would be willing to make a mod that fully replaces all the music with the original Famicom music. I see a bunch of other music mods, and FFIV has a full SNES music replacement mod, so I'm a little surprised it hasn't happened already.

It's not really that big a deal, I don't even own FFIII yet, and I like the new soundtrack just fine, but still, it'd be a neat mod to have. Ideally the game should let you switch between the new and old soundtracks at will like the PSP version, but that sounds like more work than it's worth.

That's because FF3 sound files are in ogg format making it really easy to do it yourself.

Really? Creating a looping OGG can take a little bit of work even with older video game music.

I've started on this. Definitely possible, but with the way the game splits tracks it's going to be tricky.
