Considering Square Enix locks their games at 15-30 FPS (15 for battles in games like FF IV), it might be difficult to do so. You sure the PS1 version menus ran at 60 FPS? Don't think ANYTHING ran at 60 FPS on the PlayStation 1.
@Albeoris modded the battle fps already, so maybe he can mod the menus to 60fps as well.
Nowadays it's rare find a game that runs 30 or 15fps ingame but has 60fps menus, from PS1 era that was normal, and of course there was games that run 60fps on PS1, games like Chrono Cross (most on menu, rare times in battles) Castlevania SotN and pretty much any 2D games I think.
Anyways, this mod has been amazing so far and I thank you for all of your effort! :)
I did run into a small bug though, Zidane's Mug ability doesn't seem to be working. I made sure that I had it active and tried again, but he just steals without dealing damage.
Thank you once again!
Exactly! This is more important.... not 60 FPS menus, but reducing that finger-based touch-screen-sized BS!

Thank you :)
If the difference is visible to the eye, which it is. Then why not? Of course, the UI itself needs to be made more like the original game. Someone was able to do it for FFIII somehow.
That isn't so much dependent on the original game's engine but modifications to make it behave more to our liking for a PC port. The trick with the majority of these ports is that they are moddable to some degree, but as far as the iOS-to-PC ones, not so much. FFIII was an exception to this rule, and we have IcePenguin to thank for that.Just wish the menus were actually faster than the original DS/iOS release, though....
