Endless Gamers Community online server closure.

Greetings to all members both past and present.

Over the recent year, we have seen a massive decline in the usage of the Endless Gamers Community Servers. The traffic levels currently in our community no longer justify the server rental costs. After much consideration, many hours of dedication and even personal finances from the admin team, we have decided to close all game servers. Ultimately, we have plans for future expansion, but will consolidate operations to Discord in the interim, spotlighting live activities amongst community members.

Over the past 12 years (yes, it has really been 12 years since we began this community), we have witnessed the steady growth into a 5500 member strong community at its height. This is an accomplishment we did not expect to hit and would like to thank everyone for their time in the community whether it be on the Team Fortress 2 servers and more recently Minecraft.

I would formally like to take the time to thank our Founders LiMaaa and KeRRR. Without you guys EGC would have never seen light of day and the memories made (and many MANY hours on Team Fortress 2) would not exist, I wish you both the very best in your future endeavors. Also, Akira...you put your heart and soul into maintaining the community, even on the decline. You are a true gentleman and the definition of community spirit.

To all EGC staff both past and present, we say thank you so much for your time and dedication over the years. At one stage EGC had the strongest active staff presence amongst all other Team Fortress 2 based communities and we have all of you to thank for this. I tip my hat to you all.

Akira is being impersonated on Steam and Discord!

Hi everyone,

I seem to have an impersonator! But don't fret: there are key pieces of information you can use to ensure you're talking to the right person:

For Steam Communications:
- My Steam account was originated in June 2004.
- The age badge is displayed to the upper right on my profile, aligning with the date above.
- Check to ensure the person you're speaking with has their profile linked in the Administrator section on the EGC Steam Group page. If there's an inconsistency with friend status, online status, or other factors compared to the matching profile on the group page, stop all communication with the user, block and report them.
- For additional outside reference, here is my rep.tf profile[rep.tf], linking to my Steam profile, SteamRep profile, Backpack.tf trust page, and various other credentials. Use these to compare against the account being used to communicate with you. Copy and paste the URL of their profile on Steam (right-click on their icon in the chat, select View Profile, right-click on their profile, and select Copy Page URL), and paste that into the search box on Rep.tf. If the profile that comes up doesn't match the Rep.tf link given here, stop all communication with the user, block and report them.

For Discord Communications:
- My Discord account was originated in April 2017.
- My Discord profile has a button with a verified checkmark, linking to my Steam profile. If it's not there, stop all communication with the user, and block them.
- If you join the EGC Discord[discord.gg], you'll see me at the top of the member list in red lettering as "Akira-R". Feel free to send me a message there to confirm the user you're speaking to is the same user. If the user is different, stop all communication with the user, and block them.
