Hey friends,

We now have a Discord server![discord.gg]

I've been throwing around the idea of setting one of these up for clan communication for a while now. With the recent creation of the official Quake Live Discord server run by sponge and syncerror, I've decided to go ahead and set one up.

Discord is a lot like Skype, but well.. actually functional. You create an account and join a server, where a number of text and voice chat channels are available for communication as well as private messages between members. It is free, uses very low resources on your machine and is accessible from the desktop application, mobile application and even straight from your internet browser.

Joining the server and using the service is not required. It is simply a tool I believe will make communication much easier between clan members and our friends. Of course, we will continue to use this Steam group for events and the clan forum for official drunk stuff. If you have any other questions about how to use Discord, feel free to message me here or there.

(Protip: If you plan to use Discord, check your desktop/push notification settings first. I like personal messages to pop up on my screen, but not everyone does.)
