Right joycon input delay
Trying to use both joycons as a single unit, but for some reason there's additional input delay on the right joycon. Also, the home button has been lit blue since using it on desktop to show steam client.

Can you please retry this with the Steam beta client update dated 8/16 or newer?

Thanks!

Input delay is still there, but the blue home light getting stuck on hasn't happened since. Are there any tips for how to make sure nothing in the stack beneath steam is causing the delay? Not sure why it would only affect the right joy-con, but doesn't hurt to ask I suppose.

Have you connected yours to a switch to run up-to-date firmware? I found the delay and connectivity issues with the right joycon even before the steam integration (wrappers). But I bought my pair specifically for PC (no switch) so they have whatever firmware they came with. I honestly think it's a joycon problem, not steam.

I also am experiencing delay with paired joycons. Tho the one that is delayed changes. The 1st time I attempted it the right one had the imput delay. The 2nd time it was the left one. It may be deteimed by which one u try to connect 1st maybe?
I have updated them on the switch a few times b4 but I could check again if u think it may make a difference. But they work perfectly fine for the switch.

I have consistently had the issues with my right joycon. It even has troubles maitaining connection occasionally. I find that, to have a chance of them working, i have to keep them separated as far as I comfortably can. The closer they are together, the worse the connectivity. This lead me to believe its just a joycon quality issue, nothing on the steam/PC side as I have no other connection issues.

Using the paired joycons without the grip... ewww no 👎

For ergonomic/accessibility issues, that was my intended use, but the input delay and dropped connection makes it unusable for anything other than maybe turn-based or very slow paced games. Absolutely not usable for a game like Monster Hunter

Welp the only main reason why I want to use the joy-cons is because the d pad is 4 separate buttons; which works perfectly for this rhythm game I like to play.
And the pro controller and Xbox controllers don't have d pads like that :tcry:. I mean yeah I understand why .... since for the majority of games that would be a terrible d pad. Thus I really am hoping they can get this to work properly.

I have the same problem.

Input delay is a very vague and inconsistent issue. Does this happen on desktop or in a game? All games or a specific game? I'd imagine it's fine in a point-and-click game compared to a heavy action game, especially if gyro was in use.

I have this problem. Also I don't own a switch so I can't do a firmware update for the joycons.

Happens in steam (eg, big picture navigation) and in-game - without steam input I haven't gotten the rest of windows to respond to button inputs from it in the first place, so I don't know how it handles outside of steam. Haven't tried the firmware update thing yet, but will circle back when I do.

Updated the firmware on the joycons - unfortunately, the input delay on the right joycon is still present. Tested in big picture mode navigation.
