It has been a while it was not updated
Don't try to instal it or it will break your desktop environment with old dependency.
Man i hate Linux for that kind of stuff. (Tested on raspberry pi 4 with current latest rpios 64 bits debian bookworm)
Sure, people won't be able to run AAA+ games on a Raspberry, but that is not the point.
You mentioned Win11, but frankly Windows is a joke these days: heavy, slow, buggy (for people who don't have a brand name PC) and a privacy nightmare. Everyone knows this, even those who refuse to public accept.
On the other hand, GNU/Linux handhelds, mini-PCs, and even smart appliances can do awesome stuff. Its possible to port general use applications/executables to all sorts of smart devices with virtually no effort - the hardest part may be jailbraking some devices.
No one needs to run Steam on their toaster, but its becoming an easier possibility - we just need ARM support.
Back to the practical, realistic, view:
- Apple Silicon uses ARM architecture, and is amazingly fast and efficient. It would be nice to run games on those.
- Raspberries (and other small PCs) are quite potent and can emulate many (x86) consoles with no problem. Running games natively on Raspbian via Steam would be awesome.
Steam on ARM should be a reality!
