Steam native Arm exe for Windows 11 & Linux Arm
Now since the new Snapdragon X series Arm cpus are out, and how it on par with Apple Silicon, I think it's time and fair that Steam makes a native client for Windows 11 on Arm. This would fix a lot of issues and also make it possible for Steam games with new Steamworks Api to integrate a native arm version of their game for Windows.

There should also be a native Arm Steam client for Linux, since Snapdragon will work with Linux natively.

It is not the first time that this has been requested, but it is increasingly necessary that Valve makes an effort to release a build of the steam client for ARM and give developers the option to upload their games for this architecture.

Well i have not a lot of hope since they gave up on steam link on arm Linux...
It has been a while it was not updated
Don't try to instal it or it will break your desktop environment with old dependency.
Man i hate Linux for that kind of stuff. (Tested on raspberry pi 4 with current latest rpios 64 bits debian bookworm)

At least Valve should distribute an ARM64 native WebHelper, as that will have the most improvement in client usability without sacrificing backwards compatibility.

Don't you need a usermode binary emulator to install Steam, like Box86/Box64?

The first Apple Silicon chips came out in 2021 and there's still no ARM-native Steam client on macOS. I know there'll be a lot more demand on Windows than on macOS, but as long as Steam runs well in emulation mode, I'm not sure we'll see a lot of effort on Valve's side to make a native ARM client.

I recently got the latest Microsoft Surface, and I would love to see this. Steam is a significant part of my daily life.

I was about to get an ARM laptop, but the prices are ridiculous. Maybe in a couple paychecks...
Steam is already taking too long to support ARM chips. Raspberries and other mini/micro/nano computers can make awesome little gaming machines. RetroArch is there to prove us that.

Sure, people won't be able to run AAA+ games on a Raspberry, but that is not the point.

You mentioned Win11, but frankly Windows is a joke these days: heavy, slow, buggy (for people who don't have a brand name PC) and a privacy nightmare. Everyone knows this, even those who refuse to public accept.

On the other hand, GNU/Linux handhelds, mini-PCs, and even smart appliances can do awesome stuff. Its possible to port general use applications/executables to all sorts of smart devices with virtually no effort - the hardest part may be jailbraking some devices.

No one needs to run Steam on their toaster, but its becoming an easier possibility - we just need ARM support.

Back to the practical, realistic, view:
- Apple Silicon uses ARM architecture, and is amazingly fast and efficient. It would be nice to run games on those.
- Raspberries (and other small PCs) are quite potent and can emulate many (x86) consoles with no problem. Running games natively on Raspbian via Steam would be awesome.

Steam on ARM should be a reality!
