Game 'banners' are way too big.
I much preferred the old view where the banner was in the background and didn't take away all that space from useful content that I now have to scroll for.

Can we have an option to turn these banners off or make them a lot smaller?
Or, better yet, put them in the background again so it doesn't need to steal so much real estate?

I disagree and don't think the problem is with the banner size, I'm actually liking it myself.
I believe part of the problem is the "Activity" section. (they should add an option to hide this or allow users to re-arrange the elements how they see fit).

If you take a look at most game pages, they have a huge box saying "There's no recent activity from the developers of this title or from your friends.", I see no reason for that to be there or to take up as much space as it does.

I think that's just cause the recent activity section is broken somewhere now.
Even in the non-beta client, going to the "activity" page (which should show news for subscribed games) is empty.

I would love to rearrange elements on the page and I'd put almost everything else above activity (DLC, achievements, etc)

Actually, I second this. The banners are really too big, and with the main panel they take about 50% of the screen when game page is opened. Old library have it better and there are your screenshots being used as a background also. Make it at least 1,5х smaller, and YES, we need an option to rearrange the page layout. Huge empty "no activity" block is an eyesore. For me, I'd love to see achievements and screenshot blocks here, if I want to see community, I'll just scroll down (and make the whole comminity block contractible like categories).

upd: Oh, you CAN actually hide all this community stuff in options. That's great, but this just highlights the fact that blocks MUST be rearranged, thin column to the right of useless "no activity" block now is just being nonsensical.

upd2: I found a game with activity, and this is ridiculous. On the left: small text that I crafted badges. On the right: info blocks column. Remaining 50% of space in between are just void space. 1080p monitor, just in case. There is a lot of void space below this "activity" block too after toggling off auto-download for community stuff.

Yeah it's not very efficiently placed.
Activity should be removed and community stuff header still appears after disabling it in menu (this should not be the case, as why would you need a header if the content itself isn't being displayed?).
Achievements should be thrown to the left as that is very important to a lot of people (my friend had a gripe about how it's so small and off to the right). Which while I'm not too fussed about, I can agree with their logic and believe they are right that it should be more "visible".
