Stop someone commenting on my profile.

Hi! A random person tat i played a dota 2 game with is started to spam me with very offending msg's how do i make it so they cant comment on my profile? please tell me im actully getting VERY annoyed at them they have been harrasing me alot and i cant find a way to make them stop commenting on my profile please help!

Edit your profile then click on My Privacy Settings on the right hand side of the screen you should find that, then look for Comment permissions should be in the middle then make it private.

Make it friends only or try to block him, otherwise there is no way to make 1 person not comment, i don't know if the blocking thing work. But try blocking him

click on his name on your profile where he posted,..it will take you to his profile...at top under section MORE ( beside ADD AS FRIEND)..click on it and there is an option to block all communication....

voila....no more spam from him...and him only....do same for anyone else that annoys you with spam posts

In the drop down menu mentioned you also can report the offencive account.

Furthermore, you can delete every unwanted message individually from you profile page, no need to go to Edit Profile.

They cannot comment on your profile if you block them, or vice versa (they block you)

I made a second account to test this for sure...because I am clearly paranoid. I blocked my account and could still comment on my profile (via my other acount). Someone said to wait, so I gave it several hours, and still, I could comment. The account was still on my friends list, but it was blocked.

How about you try again, but this time unfriend?

Ok, so I removed my other account, and blocked it. My comment settings are on public. I could not comment on my profile. There was no box in which to type. This would suggest it would be the same for everyone else, but there is one variable that I cannot rule out. It's a limited account because there has been no money spent on it, and it's restricted in a lot of ways anyway with regards to commenting on posts and liking posts etc. Because of this, I'll never truly be sure, unless I can find a friend willing to help me test it, but I may be able to get someone to do it. If / when I do, I will post the results here again.
