That in tandem with the login screen checkbox will save your account info.
Client updates may reset some settings. When that happens make a bug report.
Perhaps you have a cleaning software on your computer that you run and it deleted it.
I just looked in settings and the "Don't save account credentials..." is already unchecked but I appreciate your help, thank you...

Thank you this worked for me, however my original question still stands that if this check box is defunct for whatever reason requiring a "Workaround" why is it still a feature? Is there nobody working at Steam available to just remove the code for the "Remember Your Password" checkbox that does exactly nothing, are they all so busy messing up how peoples libraries are displayed to just remove the redundant check box and associated code?
If you press Change User, it logs you out and clears your remembered password
