Select LIBRARY from the main menu

News section at the top of steam library

Select the Home Tab at the top of the Library list What's New should then be shown.
Log out of Steam log in again.
If its not there then next time there is news on any of our games it will return.

Yep, it's gone. Switching out of Beta brings it back, but it goes away again if you opt into Beta once more.

They need to stop breaking stuff on beta, I was actually sitting in steam and then steam itself just refreshed (hadn't done anything or touched anything so it was a random refresh) and it removed the whats news section. Kindof pissed as thats how I get notices for like Final Fantasy 14 along with some other games.

You should expect this sort of behaviour, you're a voluntary beta tester. Your role is to report these bugs and switch to stable if they're too bad. Remember that.

My statement I made IS me reporting it, switching to a stable version doesn't fix the problem as others have stated too.

I also want to know how to "rollback" a client like some other user suggested. There is only opting out of the beta however your client stays on the version it is whether thats the beta version or not.

opting out of beta fixed both this issue with the news tab and the inability to send screenshots in a private chat.
