One way to solve the "Something went wrong while displaying this content" error.

Some of us are experiencing the "Something went wrong while displaying this content" error with the friend list. And surprisingly, the error code seems to be the same:

First of all, I have to credit this video, while it does not fix it once for all, it still helps a lot before I even figured this thing out. If my method does not work for you, this will always work, though not permanent.

Now for the solution. Go to "Settings" and click "Interface", you'll see an option says "Enable GPU accelerated rendering in web views". Deselect it, and restart steam, and you'll find it's no longer happening.

And a side note, this "Enable GPU accelerated rendering in web views" also seems to cause the random spot on your screen, so I have no idea what exactly this option is doing.

There seem to be many more methods like restarting your computer, run steam in administrator mode, etc. Sadly, none of these works for me, so I just leave my way to solve it here, and hopefully, it can help more people who are experiencing the same issue.
