Pretty Prinny - v 0.7.x [Stuff] - (12/27/2017)
Introduction
Pretty Prinny is an effort to polish Disgaea PC back to the quality standards of the original console release. It draws on my extensive experience in OpenGL to fix some underlying problems that prevent the game from running at proper performance or image quality standards.

Additionally, it touches on general usability issues such as input, and features to make modding easier on the community.

Modding OpenGL software is a major chore, and nothing about this project is simple. My hope is that the time and effort spent here will pay dividends in future Disgaea releases and/or OpenGL-based games (all two of them?) in general.

Reserved for Future Use
Saw you mentioned in a Rock Paper Shotgun Article, regarding NieR Automata's White Screen Fix for AMD GPU's. Had no clue you'd done any work on Disgaea! I don't know if you're tired of hearing it, but I really aprpeciate your work and effort man. You've saved so many games, and put so much effort in.

There is already an article about AMD and WSOD?

Thank you :)

I'm actually pleased that this project works in later Disgaea installments and even Phantom Brave PC. I need to find some time to strip out features that NISA has made obsolete and give this project some polish. WAY too many projects in my catalog to keep track of--that's why I've slowly been moving away from game-specific projects.

But let me take this opportunity to point out that of all the games I've worked on, this one has seen the most improvement from the first-party over time. I really cannot praise NISA enough for working their butt off to improve the quality of their work :)

Wait it works in Phantom Brave?! OMG... I've been having the worst freaking screen tearing in that, and I've just had no clue of what to do to fix it. I wonder if this sorts that out... I'm pretty sure its the game being locked at 60fps, and trying to force my 144hz monitor to that refresh. I know that in your NieR: Automata FAR Fix I have to change the refresh to 144 in the ini, and then it works like a dream, but with it set to -1 it just tears horribly. Man, I've put off playing Phantom Brave for just that reason, I'm going to give it a go.

EDIT: Yep, it fixed it. Not entirely, theres a little tiny TINY bit of "jutter". Like it wants to tear, but its soooo good now. UGH. Thank you so damn freaking much Kaldaien! I cannot believe it. You need to be hired by these Devs for fixing and fine tuning their games. Really and truly. NISA did do a fantastic job all things considered, really put the elbow grease in. But you are the Cherry on top of that Deliscious Sundae! Thanks again.

By the way, I updated the core of the project:

https://github.com/Kaldaien/PrettyPrinny/releases/download/pp_055a/PPrinny_0_6_0.7z

0.6.0 supports Disgea 2, Disgaea and Phantom Brave and has an in-game config UI (Ctrl + Shift + Backspace).

Needs more work, but it's a start :)

Dude! I'm having to dig into my reserve thank-ypu's :P. So awesome!!!! Thanks again, again, so much haha.
Chrome won't let me download that, even if I click 'Keep' it keeps pegging it as a virus :(.

EDIT: Stupid heuristics, Windows Defender was being the issue in the long run, but Chrome still pegs it.

Yea, we just discussed on other threads about FAR how windows defender tags recent versions as virus. Of course it's false positive. I bet it's same problem with you.

Yep yep. It happens. Sorted it out :D.
Anyone else getting a black background?

Don't know about that but I can say that I have send msg of this to microsoft and we see if they can sort this out.
I can't use 0.6.0 :(, it just makes the background black, sadly.

Well, we have to wait for Kaldaien and see what he has to say.

He might ether went to sleep or something like that.

All this happened from recent changes he made, every other mod I download doesn't trigger it.
