I want to install a ReShade but I'm not sure about where and how I must put the files. the ReShade preset I downloaded comes like this:
- dxgi.dll (I know I have to ignore this one)
- ReShade.fx (I have no idea what it is, I've never used ReShade)
- ReShade (folder)
the content of the ReShade folder is like this:
folders:
- BasicFX
- CustomFX
- GemFX
- McFX
- PersonalFiles
- SweetFX
files:
- BasicFX.cfg
- BasicFX.undef
- Common.cfg
- CustomFX.cfg
- CustomFX.undef
- GemFX.cfg
- GemFX.undef
- McFX.cfg
- McFX.undef
- Pipeline.cfg
-SweetFX.cfg
- SweetFX.undef
every folder contains files with ".h" extension and a "Textures" folder, but the "SweetFX" folder also contains a "SharedShader" folder which contains more .h files.
do I have to put all of those .h files in SUS' "Shaders" folder and every file in the "Textures" folders into SUS'? or what.
after putting the file there and enabling the plugin, the game would crash, no matter if loaded early or not. and even if that would have worked, I still don't know what exactly to put in the "Textures" and "Shaders" folders >_>
also, with version 0.6.0 the game sometimes crashes before reaching the intro logos and sometimes it doesn't, even without plugins and without changing any setting from the previous version.
here's a crash that happened when enabling ReShade: https://pastebin.com/QSmCavgw

update: I got the blurriness to stop again, but the error when launching D3ST.exe persists. Not a huge deal now I guess as I got the mod working in game.
FYI - I'm using your latest modified SUS ReShade build.
Edit: welp I got banned too.
Me and that other guy were using the 0.9 version of the SpecialK.dll instead of the one who came with SUS. I had version 0.5.0.1 of SUS and he had 0.6.0 (if it matters at all, since we replaced the dll).
The guy above used version 0.6.0 so maybe it was the addition of CEGUI that caused the ban? Or anything else added to the dxgi.dll / SpecialK.dll after version 0.5.0.1 of SUS.
Yeah, I suspect it's CEGUI as it's the only file I wasn't aware of when I deleted all related SUS files from my game directory, though I can't be sure. I really hope there's a work around for this because 21:9 is just that great, and I only have 3 more family accounts to burn, lol.
Also, I think the latest SUS allows for full animation near the side edges of the screen, but the experimental branch with ReShade does not. Any plans on fixing that?
In fact, I used to work for an MMORPG developer.
We had our own proprietary anti-cheat of course, and we cared little to none about modifications to the client unless they were producing tangible out-of-range data (i.e. player is moving faster than possible, player is transitioning from one area of the world to another that is not physically connected, player is dashing immediately to a spawn they cannot physically see.)
There's zero chance of this mod ever producing any differences in your character's data that would come across as inconsistent with the rules of the game.
So that leaves only either From Software is incompetent or something else is going on and we'll never know because From Software doesn't explain what they think you're doing wrong -- which I think is very unprofessional of them.
Yeah, I'm sure FROM is automating the process, and whatever they're using to detect external files can't recognize actual cheats from programs that help them do their job. For whatever reason, ReShade doesn't register on their radar.
Well, I really hope FROM implements native 21:9 support, because this is quickly becoming a gaming standard.
I installed a newer version last week/two weeks ago because, after trying to use it for ReShade, I decided to keep it just for the in-game GUI and for the option to change the position of the steam notifications.
well the ban doesn't disappear immediately, it lasts from 1 to 4 weeks or even more, they say.
