XBOX controller not working anymore after installing this mod for FF XV
Hey there - my xbox gamepad is no longer working as soon as i installed Special K Mod for FF XV. I've got a cabled xbox one controller with the xbcd drivers and use x360ce normally. It worked before i installed the mod but now the controller is not being used by the game anymore. I can see it though in the Special K Configurator but just not use it. What do i have to do to make it working again?

Wait, what? You mean a Classic/Original Xbox controller? As in, the very first controllers for the very first console from 2001 or so?

Yes exactly that controller. I use these http://www.redcl0ud.com/xbcd.html drivers and it all works normally. But as i installed the Special K pack the controller stopped working although i had x360ce running. So now - with or without x360ce i can't use my controller anymore with ffxv...

I just tried it again - i have x360ce working. Then i unpack the SK_FFXV in to the folder and BAM - my controller isn't working anymore. :/
Also one thing to mention i guess is that when i start x360ce to check for settings or whatever no controller loads in the UI. I think it has something to do with the dxgi.dll but i have no clue :(

Even when i active "Rehook Xinput" it's not working after a restart. (I have to disable Haptic UI Feedback because else i get an error because it's activated and creating a feedback loop...)

What can i do?

Like - why are you an admin here? Only question you asked doesn't have anything to do with the topic as my controller is working with all games except when i add the kaleiden project. It's the same with FFX.

This was brought up a few times in the Final Fantasy XV topic, best as I can tell it's something with the game and how it handles input.

Steam itself has overrides and settings for gamepad compatibility now so that would be my suggestion to start with, if all else fails disabling mouse and keyboard input via SpecialK could work as well and force input for the gamepad only. :)

That would be these two to true:

[Input.Keyboard]
DisabledToGame=false

[Input.Mouse]
DisabledToGame=false

Or from within the game and the SpecialK on-screen display and menus and it's input category of settings I believe would have checkboxes for this corresponding to the config file names.

As for moderators and admins, way back when Kaldaien started this subforum a few users got promoted as a way to be more easily recognizable, I think that's in the old 0.7.x main topic for SpecialK.
(I was a bit confused when that suddenly happened before I read the post Kaldaien made about it.)
