Report a translation problem
I don't think I've heard of "Application Crash unable to play sound" before, but from the sounds of it Special K might be trying to play the Metal Gear alert sound that it uses to indicate that its crash handler captured some data related to the crash.
Note that this does not mean that Special K itself crashed -- it just means that something caused the game to crash and SK captured data about the crash.
Anyway, it's probably a compatibility issue with third-party applications so please ensure you don't have any other applications running or visible down in the notification area of Windows (the tiny icons by the clock) when launching the games that otherwise experience an issue.
