FFXV Interference With ReShade (Official)
I was finally able to get the official ReShade to work along with Special K thanks to this guide.

After setting this up and changing a few settings before closing and launching the game again to save the settings, FFXV becomes stuck in the "X STOP" button on Steam with no screen for FFXV popping up.
After deleting dxgi.ini to reset the settings of Special K it started to boot again.

After a couple of minutes of testing, I realize after checking the boxes for both "Sleepless Render Thread" and "Sleepless Window Thread" in the advanced drop-box in the "Framerate Limiter" section is what caused FFXV to unable to boot.

This wasn't happening when I didn't have ReShade installed, and I'm not sure what those two boxes do as I'm not yet that technically knowledgeable in this area. I'm wondering if this is a bug or not in Special K.

This sounds like a bug in ReShade, I do not know why it would be messing around with that stuff. No add-on software should be sleeping on threads that belong to the software being modified.

Does the unofficial version also have these problems? It's been engineered to remove all the stuff from ReShade that could cause compatibility problems, it is slightly older but I am much more confident that it does not do this kind of thing.

Haven't used the unofficial version yet, though I don't actually know where to get it, but I found that it actually only happens when it's just the sleepless render thread checked, not window thread
