Creating Dialogue With Existing NPC Voices | Is it possible?
If you have ever seen the Youtube videos Gamer Poop: Skyrim, you would notice that all voices are the existing NPC voices given by Bethesda Game Studios with new custom dialogue. I am currently working on a custom NPC for my new player house mod I have created. However, I don't really want to voice act for her and was wondering if there is a way to create new dialogue using the existing female voices given on Creation Kit. If so, what program(s) are needed if any or is it impossible to do with Creation Kit? Thanks!

You can do it, but you would have to have an external audio editing software and be really good at manipulating voice files. You would have to extract all of the vocal files from the voice you want and skim through every second of them for clips of half words that can fit your script. You would then have to export your heavily edited voice file and put it in the skyrim data and that whole clusterfuck in there. Then it might work...

In that case, what program can be used to do this?

There are a lot of programs out there, if you arent looking to spend any money then I would start with Audacity because it is one of the best free audio editing programs. If you really want to do this, understand that it will be enragingly tedious.

I have recently tried to do the same. The game has over 65,000 dialogues that you can export to a text file in the CK (Character -> Export Dialogue ...). Import this text file (dialogueExport.txt) into the spreadsheet program of your choice as a CSV. The text file is tab-delimited and has a header row. Once imported, remove all columns that you don't need, but leave VOICE TYPE, FILENAME, RESPONSE TEXT and EMOTION. With sorting and filtering you may find the best dialogues that suit your need or require the least amount of editing with Audacity.

That's not all, forgot something. Once you know which dialogue file you need, you have to extract that file from "Skyrim - Sounds.bsa" using BSA Browser. For each dialogue file two files are created in the Data\Sounds\Voice\skyrim.esm folder, a LIP and an XWM file. If no editing is needed you can convert both files to a FUZ file with "fuz_extractor". If editing with Audacity is needed, you can convert the XWM to a WAV file with XWM2WAV. Don't forget to rename the created FUZ file to reflect the name automatically created in the CK for that dialogue topic and move it to the correct folder, e.g. Data\Sounds\Voice\<your_mod.esp>.
