It's gone peeps, mission accomplished!

Thanks to everyone that helped out with this, whether it was sending off e-mails, sharing the post, talking about it etc. You guys have been a huge help!

I'm still getting a grasp on what happened, but I'll keep a watchful eye on the app over the coming days, seems peculiarly there are still changes being made, and given how he mentioned about the possibility of changing the app in the final chat log, it may be something worth keeping an eye on.

He's wiped the store page, removed the game's files from the Steam servers, wiped the game's forum, and left a brick in the library of anyone who got an early copy (he sent me one to review for my Steam Curator).

This is the developer's profile, he already thought he'd be clever and change his username and avatar:

The guys over at ScreenRant has picked up the story and given it a signal boost: https://screenrant.com/blacksite-area-51-steam-fake-fraud-wb-midway/

Please keep spreading awareness of this in the hopes something can be done about the game before it sees a release.

I am sort of curious if the game does go on sale if there would be any repercussions to Valve since they do get that sweet cut of each sale. Other devs that have got caught prior to release just swap the store page to some asset flip so they don't even lose that Steam Direct fee. It doesn't even seem like much of a risk for them to attempt something like this unfortunately.

@YouGotHitByGunner Apologies about that! The link is fixed on my end but may take a while to update on Steam's end.

Here's the second chat log https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/248172378574553099/741363634751406150/unknown.png

@BroadBread Games that get banned don't become unplayable. Users that buy the games can still play them afterwards, as I'm sure other users can vouch for. I have numerous banned games in my library that I can still play.
