Shelby's Iron Brigade was originally formed, in November 24th, under orders, from Major General Von Darabos. Hindman, following a successful recruiting expedition, into Tennessee,Texas,Louisiana,and Virginia, by Colonel Vlader O. Powells (Who is now a Brigadier General and replaced by Potato), Colonel Crane and Colonel Wuesten (Who is now a Brigadier General, replaced by Trench),; who each recruited, a regiment of Infantry.
