Merino DayZ has just released a new video summarizing the effects of medical items in the game!

• Several bandages or rags (Infection is not in the game yet so "sterile" doesn't matter. Rags can be stacked up to 6 while bandages can only be used 4 times.)
  
• 1 pack of charcoal tabs (For use in curing mild and moderate food poisioning.)
  
• Saline bags and/or blood bags and IV starters (You have a total of 5000 blood capacity. Blood bags restore 1000 blood. Saline bags restore 5000 blood in the stable build. Saline bags have been appropriately nerfed to restore 500 blood in the experimental build.)
  
  
  Partially useful items:
• 1 Morphine auto injector (for repairing broken legs.)
  
• 1 Epinephrine pen (for reviving players by restoring shock to 0, does not work on players unconcious due to bloodloss. Reviving players who have passed out due to shock will be risky as you will likely be exposing yourself in a combat situation, also players who have experienced shock will awake on their own.)
  
  
  Items not worth carrying:
• Splint (Broken legs uncommon, Carry morphine if needed.)
  
• Defibrilator (Shock unconciousness uncommon, revival dangerous and self correcting. Carry epi pen if needed. Note: Code seems to imply that using defib on conscious person gives that individual full shock, knocking them unconscious... further tests will be done.)
  
  
  Useless items:
• Alcohol tincture (No infection in game.)
  
• Tetracycline antibiotics (No infection in game.)
  
• Disinfectant spray (No infection in game.)
  
• Injection vial (No current use.)
  
• Syringe (No current use.)
  
• Painkillers (No current use... in fact no associated code)
  
• Vitamins (No infection/disease in game.)
  
• Water purification tablets (No infection or dirty water in game.)
