Games with a High Risk of Removal - Discussion Thread [Part 2]
List of Games with a High Risk of Removal

As our old thread has done it's job well, it's time to start fresh and retire the original. If anyone has any information regarding games that are at risk, please post any information or questions you may have below.

If there are any mistakes, concerns, or omissions regarding the official High Risk thread, let either Psychos or myself know, or post below.

Note: Games with an open sub are considered at risk, not removed, so posts regarding these games should be posted here, not in the Removed Games Discussion Thread.

White Wolf Publishing, the company that owns the ip for Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines, was recently purchased by Paradox Interactive.

In a statement about the purchase, White Wolf states that it is "re-evaluating our business relationships to make sure we're working with the best creators, developers and artists" & that the company aims to, "centralize all aspects of the universe to manage it with the love and care it deserves."

Whether or not this would lead to the game's removal (Activision is the game's current publisher) in uncertain but it wouldn't hurt to pick it up just in case.

It is currently on sale for 75% til Monday.

I'm not sure if anyone has noticed but apparently there will be a "Final Cut" version of the Van Helsing games that should relese soon (November 2015):

If you own all 3 original games you will automatically recieve the "Final Cut" version on your account. I'm unsure if this means the original 3 games will be removed and have added a couple of developers to friends to ask that very question. If anyone has more information about this matter please let everyone know, thanks.

A: No, you can always choose to play it as three separate games.

While I personally believe they won't be removed.

Official response, when stated like this one from their Q&A, often makes it ambiguous (at least for our group's interest here). Because it is written like two questions: "from Steam library" / "from Steam store", but then they only answer it as one question: a simple "No", and it just sounds like they've only answered the first question regarding library and ignored the second question regarding the store: "No, you can always choose to play".

Something like "No to both questions" or "You can always choose to play and to buy them as three separate games" would be a much better, much clearer answer.

I'm only commenting about this because a similar situation happened for Divinity: Original Sin this week. Dev said that it will not be removed, many of us took their words for it. Then BAM! the game was still removed from store a day later, and it turns out they only meant 'removed from our library'.

So in general, we should always get a very specific response from them regarding removal. Most devs seem to only think about Removal from Library because they're more concerned with customers getting angry for losing access to purchased games.

I wanted to point out that Pro Evolution Soccer 2015 may be removed in a couple of weeks:

Apparently there is some controversy over fake reviews and intentionally keeping game servers offline during lauch causing login failures in order to push game play time past the two hour mark for refunds for the Early Access game Otherland:

Another controversial Early Access title is Jäsøn - Season I. This was briefly on sale for $7 but was quickly purchase disabled due to user complaints.

Sorry, I don't quite get it straight with this:

I own everything from the Franchise Pack, though it says (due to technical problems they claim and sounds strange to me while every other game can) I wouldn't own the Franchise Pack.

Now, when I redeem the 80% coupon and get the Deathinitive Pack, will all the separate parts convert to this pack?

I think Deathfinitive edition might be just one game.

But yeah, the franchise pack thing is BS. I would have bought it if i could.
