Wanted to give everybody a quick idea of where we are now and what are plans are for moving forward. This is good info for everybody rather you are playing in the current season or not.

How long is this tourney?

So we are on week 4 of 5 in the first leg of round robin. Following that, we will have a 1 week break and then do a second round with these teams and the cumulative score between both will determine the winner. Not going to be a playoff or tiebreaker to end... the score is the score.

When will a new season start?

Following the 2nd round robin we will take a break for a few weeks to give everybody some time off and so that we can promote the league a little. We want to have some more teams going into future seasons so start talking to your friends about getting involved. The goal would be that 4 weeks after this season ends we will be beginning a new one.

Do I have to stick with the same team going forward?

Nah. After this season we will begin a new policy on teams to offer a lot more flexibility. You will be able to use any team previously used in this league or a new team of your choice. The key there being used from this league only. So no bringing your ringer team on board that you have been power leveling against your friend. I don't anticipate any problems here, but I will track teams previously used just in case.

Will we have other "new team only" tourneys?

Yep. We will occasionally do new team entry only as well as team value capped tournaments. These will typically be shorter seasons designed to help get a new team off the ground in a less punishing environment. Team value capped seasons may also find their way into these competitions to give you a fun challenge.

Do I have to play in every season? What if I missed this one?

You are in no way expected to play everything. We just ask that you stay committed to the ones you do choose to play to be respectful to other coaches. Hopefully at some point we will grow to the point where we may have multiple comps running simultaneously. It would be tough one most of us to play in all of those all the time. Just pick the ones you can commit to and stay posted on news during the time that you are off. So with that in mind if you missed this season you are 100% eligible for future seasons.

Will we have winnings? I want some pointless Cyans!

Yes. The next season will have an entry fee and winnings. I am not certain how this will be managed yet, but be prepared for a moderate entrance cost.
