RECENT ANNOUNCEMENTS
Update on Low Poly Styled - Steam Next Fest, Demos & Curator Patch Notes
General Curator Updates:
  • Since the last update in November, 300+ new followers have begun following the curator page; shattering my overall expectations & current predictions. Cannot thank enough for folks circulating the links online to help people find their next new favorite game.

  • I'm still recovering financially, so the contact page is still delayed. (I'd rather not give anymore estimations until I can be absolutely certain that I can make it a reality, sincere apologies about this!)

  • I made a slight change to the Coming soon to a Steam near you! list to only feature games that are in active development. This change was done in response to some games that have been been put in hiatus or abandoned by the developers with no communication towards the community. This light purge of games from the list allowed new ones to take their place that are much closer to being fully realized. The informational reviews for the affected games are still in place, but won't show up in lists for the time being & will be reinstated once continued development resumes.

Crowdfunding:
  • Additionally, a few games have gained a special link to those in need of crowdfunding. When you click to Read the full review, some of the informational reviews will instead link to the developer's preferred method of crowdfunding if you wish to contribute to the continued support of the development of these upcoming games. This is a time consuming process, so please bear with me as things roll out.

  • On the topic of crowdfunding, two games featured on the curator page have been fully funded over on Kickstarter. Their campaigns are still active at the time of writing so if you wish to contribute to the success of these two games: Sword Hero & Bel's Fanfare feel free to do so.

Steam Next Fest:

Finally, I will be slowing down significantly once March rolls around due to a shift in priorities to focus my endeavors in midterms. Reviews will still be scheduled on every day divisible by five, but do expect a bigger time gap between them. This is all, ultimately, a hobby for me. I wish to not burn myself out as I want to provide the best quality I can provide, but it takes several hours of my day to make sure everything is up to my standards.

Thank you so much for making it to the end, your continued support means the world to me & I hope that I've given thus far a curated selection of well-crafted games made by talented people from different walks of life. Please support your favorite developers in any way you can even if it means sharing promos with those that would like it for absolutely free.

Road to 500 followers! - Cheers to 2025!
  • I've been solidifying a schedule for reviews & think it's high time to discuss how things are progressing. I found a great balance to remind myself to set up five informational reviews on every day divisible by 5 when able. (Ex. 5 > 10 > 15) This has led to a very healthy & diverse selection of games on display, while allowing games to receive equal amount of attention as all carousel displays are set to random (every time you refresh, the games should randomize).

  • However as the reviews increase, the list cap (100 games) on these games will be met & has been met for the Coming soon to a Steam near you! list. To circumvent this, I'll be creating new carousels to swap in & out so expect the layout for LPS to change every so often as a way to give more ample opportunity to developers to get their games out there on the front page of LPS.

  • Since the year is coming to a close, one of the new lists introduced will be a highlight to the games from the curated selection released in 2025. If it came out in 2025, it is fair game. Expect that to be shown within the end of November, early December when my classes wrap up for the semester.

  • The contact page off site has been delayed due to a massive financial blow last month that I'm still recovering from. I've had developers reach out to me via social media over on BlueSky[vec.bsky.social] wanting to contribute their games for review & I'm extremely honored & thankful for their patience while the official contact page gets instated. (Currently aiming for early 2026 as we grow closer to 500.)

  • Still in the lookout for more blind spots over at the suggestion thread. Feel free to contribute we're always open to suggestions!

Lastly, a personal thank you for everyone who has supported me in this silly side quest I embarked in early April of this year.

Special thanks to Retro Styled Games (RSG-PC) another fantastic curator group that encompasses pseudo-retro games beyond the scope of this page covering games inspired & styled ranging from ZX Spectrum to Xbox 360. Highly recommend their curator page for games beyond just the low poly games on display here. Their members have been extremely welcoming & supportive of my endeavors & wish them the best in their curation.

Thank you all for your continued support & hope to see you all next year (hopefully with the contact page fully established).

Thank you! I'm glad to see that, despite being the only negative review on the page, it has helped. I knew the dev, Bad Wish Games, was very scummy about their critics, but never knew that they'd silence folks speaking against the game. I was already tired of the dev's limited donation outfits on their ko-fi & downplaying the impact that GenAI played in the development of the game by saying it is just the demo.

I'm not one to leave negative reviews on games that I've not personally played, but this was an exception due to the way that the developer has been doing things. :coolkitty:

Your review of "Welcome to Doll Town" is very spot on. The game developer keeps removing posts in the discussion page when people bring things up that are valid criticism.
