The Legacy of Land of the Lost PVP

Have you ever dreamed of an ark that eliminates most of the micromanagement the base game forces you to participate in? Look no further, for you've found it.

Legacy of the Lost is a PvP ark server located on The Center Map and is devoted to keeping the core of the game intact while (attempting) to eliminate the "chores" required to keep a decent experience. You like taming but hate staring at dino butts for eggs? We have a mod for that! You hate splitting stacks of meat for it to spoil? We have a mod for that! Industrial forge too unreasonable? MODS. The goal of your ark experience should be about surviving the possible threats that roam the environment, not doing office work. You could do that for real money.

We have a more in depth plethora of server settings, but the most important ones are: x8 tame, x5 gather, x5 experience, tribe limit of 6 (enforced by game.ini), titano saddle disabled (titano left in since it minds its own business until you make a shady deal with it). Details can be found under the RATES discussion.

Legacy of the Lost has also ascended to using custom game.ini-driven supply crates. These crates are 100% customized by hand using TEKCOR's beacon editor. You will have the luxury of opening a crate and NOT getting cloth in a cave drop, and, most importantly, no compass/water jar/medium crop plot blueprints. You can find a complete list in the discussions so you know EXACTLY what to look for.

We currently offer 30 slots with the ability and funds to increase if demand rises. Donations are appreciated; however, we will not accept them. Legacy of the Lost is about the community and the interaction between players, not money.

Emergency Rollback 11/18/16

Hey guys,
Unfortunately, structures plus failed to load upon updating to 251.0 (thanks Wildcard), which meant nobody had a base, which means I was forced to rollback the server. This was about a 6 hour loss, which ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ blows, but it's better than having to wipe the server. To make up for this, I set taming to x16 and gather to x8 to help cope the losses. Again, I apologize for this trash of an update.

Edit: So this update completely ♥♥♥♥♥♥ mods loading in. Unfortunately this means EVERYTHING mod related no longer exists in our world right now. This is just as frustrating for me as everyone else, and I'm working on a way to fix the issue. Once again, I sincerly apologize for this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

Golem/Giga 2016

Greetings everyone,

The voting for adding giga and golem spawning has ended. They have been added to the spawners and are available for taming. The golems spawn around the left volcano on lava island (I call it the Valley of the Shadow of Death), and the gigas spawn on both half burnt island and lava island (it's mapped to the MonsterIsland spawner). Right now they spawn too often, but I'm looking at fixing it. People aren't always too clear how spawners work, so that leaves me with trial and error work, as you can see.

Wyverns lost this election hard this year especially when they failed to grab the Redwood Vote. The Demodragon party was told to spawn in Jungles Mid to campaign, but they thought they had the vote guaranteed; however, the Rockpublicans grabbed that vote, too, and now they have started implementing their policies. The Golem plans to build a great gate, and he's gonna make Scorched Earth pay for it! The Giga has proposed taking "Spay/Neuter" funding and using it to fund "Gnash and Bite" therapy. Whether or not both of these policies are implemented, Golem/Giga plans to Make The Center Great Again!

ALL ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ POLITICAL JOKES ASIDE, HERE'S WHAT'S NEW:

New Mods

Whlie it wasn't in my best interest to add new mods since we're pushing it with the ones we currently have, the Structures Plus mod author drastically reduced the file size of our favorite building mod, which allowed us a little more room to work with. We now have:

Scorched Earth Stacks
Scorched Earth Resource Converter
Scorched Earth Engrams Anywhere

While I liked making the scorched earth weapons/saddles completely supply drop driven, it wasn't feasable because we can't make blueprints for clay, propellant, etc, so that required everyone to loot massive quantities of those resources, which isn't cool. Since the mod file sizes were pretty low, I figured this was our best bet. Now, we have a full working non-Tabula Rasa scorched earth map. Don't get me wrong, I like Tabula Rasa, but we don't have NEARLY the control over it. Our system is more manageable and allows more room to work with.

New Spawns

Since we discovered the game.ini spawner configs, we've been having a blast adding more diversity to the map especially with the scorched dinos. We implemented new spawns a few days ago, but for those who didn't know exactly what we did, I will list them off here. I added a few more spawns last night while adding in the giga and golem.

Gigas can be found on both half burnt island and lava island, since parts of the lava island share spawns with half burnt, aka "Monster Island"
Golems can be found near the left volcano on lava island
Deathworms haunt the beaches of lava island
Thorny dragons and vultures are found on both lava island and the mountains (The Center island and parts of the jungles)
Mantis can be found on half burnt, lava island, the mountain areas, and grasslands (althought slightly rarer)
Jerboas and camels can be found on the beaches
Moths can be found on the beaches and the redwoods

And, on top of scorched dinos, we took regular dinos and threw them in other places as well

Tapejaras are too rare for you? You can now find metric ♥♥♥♥ loads of them in the redwoods
Having trouble finding chalicos? Fear not, him and bigfoot can be found roaming the vast edge of the world snow expansion (where the admin arena is)
Penguins and archas now roam the beaches

Diplodocus Soccer

We didn't get a chance to execute this extreme sport last weekend, so we're gonna try it again this weeked. We prefer it to be a 4v4 event, however if we have to mix tribes together, we will do as such.

Supply Drop Update

I'm currently working on making the supply drops vary from items to items. I wanted to get it done last night, but I am a man of my sleep especially from working that day and staying up hella late, so with my next days off, I'm going to bust out the code and test it to see if it doesn't suck. Wish me luck.

As usual, if anybody has any questions/suggestions, let the admins know and we'll consider it. After all, we let you guys vote on the giga and golem, dinos we HEAVILY consider to be game breaking, but we exist for the community, and if that's what you want, that is what you may have.
