Need help with face posing models with Gmod.
I've recently been modeling using blender for g-mod. I've mainly been increasing poly-counts for models that have low ones. Most of the time it works, but when it comes to models that have face posing, they turn out really triangulated. I was wondering how I could possibly fix this, as it would be a major help for my film making.

That looks like a problem with the models' normals. How do they look in Blender?

Looks more like the smoothing is messed up.

The models look perfectly fine in blender, and none of these weird triangles show up.

When I see it in blender, the models are perfectly smooth and look amazing. No errors in Crowbar appear either when compiling the model.

Maybe you are not redoing the face-posing correctly. Check the face flexes (shapekeys) in Blender.

The shapekeys work in blender as well. I am almost certain that the problem lies within the QC file, but I don't entirely know what to do in there. Once I replace the original files with the new high-poly ones, I can move the shape-keys as I please in blender.

Everything looks good in blender, it's only a problem with shapekeys. Models with no shapekeys work perfectly fine.

sorry for necroposting this post but i was reading and seeing your post and i have a really really similar problem with the face and even in this case the torso part, where the face looks like the one from some of your models, like messed up,deformed,or with those weird triangles,i would like to know a fix for this, the shapekeys are all set to their default position (0) and they are set to basis so i don't know what the problem is but i would like to know a fix ASAP Please

That seems like a problem with face normals, you should mark some edges as sharp to improve the shading.

Honestly I don't blame you for panicking cuz my model was fine until I add faceposing, IDK if u checked ur wireframe in ur model but when i checked mine, i knew it wasn't an issue with the normals but the vertex's changed by jutting in and out, which am not sure why. What's worse is that I only have that AFTER i compile and this was the base shape that was altered for the worst and I am not sure why to this day.
