I cannot fathom how someone who has ever played a videogame decided to create the "avoidance"-trials, and then have them be a prevalent and recurring element of the game. I feel obligated to not recommend this game on the basis that this mechanic never, EVER get reintroduced in a similar manner in the future of other games.

That, and honestly the weapon "variety" is just that, "variety" in quotation marks. There are some difference in the projectile patterns of weapons, but not much more - and the stats are as boring as they come (+Armor, +Health, +%dmg). The badge-system has a little bit more merit, but ultimately feels like it isn't using it's full potential.

- Played on PC, on Game Pass using KB+M. (just leaving a review here!)
- Fast Paced Action with lite-RPG elements, ~pixel ARPG!
- This is NOT like enter the gungeon/bullet hell rougelikes, the trailer/art is somewhat misleading
- Medium grind for crafting
- Good boss design, gorgeous pixel art, nonsensical difficulty spike for the final boss
- Unbalanced in late-midgame-endgame, one armor set + 1 weapon destroys everything
- questionable magic system, a bit of a chore
- Fun and addicting gameplay loop
- Infuriating shrines - you need extreme precision to dodge fast moving projectiles, if you have bad reflexes, avoid
