Tons of gore, an anime art style with an oppressive dystopian atmosphere, impressive roster of versatile weaponry and a tight near-tactical gameplay loop taking inspiration from 'Marathon' that leaves you feeling the rush of relief after every encounter or face in palms thinking over how not to die upon restarting the level.

A minor issue is that the story is scarce telling the bare minimum, anything more requiring looking beyond the game at the developers social medias (worthwhile for more excellent art as well.)

The Citadel is a must play for fans of Bungie's 'Marathon' series and I eagerly await the release of the sequel 'Beyond Citadel'.
