Big lame stinky lame game make me go insane lame

Best Survival Game I've ever played. by a large amount.

worst METAL GEAR I've ever played. By a large amount.

As a survival game. it has something unheard of in that genre: Gameplay.
Survival is easily the most boring and tedious type of game I've ever played.
If you like survival games. this might help ease you into games that are actually fun.
because this game starts out boring. like... real bad. but every 2 hours or so they drop a new enemy or ability or something to make the game better. while reducing the strain of being a survival game. You almost never have to revisit an area. you have no reason to revisit areas outside of the immediate area surrounding a fast travel, and they only reason to repeat most areas is when a big yellow circle on you map says, "there is a new thing here" the story is a tutorial and by the time the credits roll you should understand enough to play the actual game. and you will have (hopefully) been cured of whatever caused you to think "survival" is respectable genre.

the game, after the story, is a hoard defense game. and a pretty fast one at that. if you are not always doing something, you are falling behind. Just better Gears of War hoard at this point. this is the real game, and its is co-op so grab your friends and convince them to get past the story. and remember the game is balanced around "cooler is stronger" yes you can stab zombies through a fence and just stand still.. but its better to do anything active. grenades do a lot of damage, but throwing a grenade at yourself and then kicking it causes it to airburst which is always a crit. Sprinting haymaker punch to backstab beats almost every Single enemy, this game becomes a violence playground, constant movement is your friend.

but as a metal gear game... it's like.... not one. but metal gear do show up in the co-op as summon-able super allies, so its kinda of fun to see Shagohod Tokyo drift over zombies, and metal gear ray is still my girlfriend. so seeing her help clear a pile of enemies is always a treat. it's kind of like if they just always had a metal gear crossover event rather than being a metal gear game. yeah, its about as much of a metal gear game as fortnite and super bomberman R are.


As a survial game, better than any other
as a hoard defense game, better than most.
as a metal gear game. its not one. but its got cool metal gear themed equipment and upgrades!
