The issue is that this was in development hell.. Paradox is the publisher.. they invested way to much into this project (just like with LBY) and this is simply not their expertise as a publisher (nor as a developer, their own developed games are awesome in the vast majority of cases)

This game was semi dead from the get go and almost entirely dead after first hiccup, then resurrected by the necromancer and we are left with the zombie..

Anyway.. I am sure that it will appeal to some.. But it will taint the IP..

Looting corpses is a trope of most games of this type. It isn't _necessary_, but, y'know, "that guy shot me with a cool weapon, why can't I grab it off his corpse" is an obvious question.

There is a lot of lore, which you can see in the missions like Dead Drop Hit, that all weapons are bio-locked to the owner. So we can't just expect to pick up some guard's gun and start shooting with it.

I'm not the one who bought the game that got completelly butchered after release because of censorship lmao.

The story was bad to begin with, like most Souls-like and related games.

The gameplay is honestly still very similar to launch state, other than some minor tweaks, so most people will still enjoy the game for what they originally expected of it. So your argument isn't really relevant or valid.

Sure, I'd like to have a good story, too, but most games of this genre simply don't do that. So I'll stick to other games like JRPGs or cinematic story oriented games for that.

I also got it for free from preordered Cronos: The New Dawn.

I think he means main to the now. Tyranids. Chaos, are pretty big in the lore right now. I do wonder why no Eldar at the start but I hope we get them
