Any statement they make would basically be used against them in court. They can't really do a lot about the details without possibly damaging their case.

As for the people that might lose their jobs, they have already done the work and probably been moved to other projects. Also if someone took a job from tencent to maintain a game that was a blatant copy of another companies ip, then they weren't looking for job security, they were looking for a fast buck.

As for Tencent's position, they will probably do their best to get money out of it so they won't fight it direct. They are going to do their best to go towards a settlement as long as they would get to release and still make a profit. But if their projections on interest don't stay high or if they might have to go to trial, it's a good bet the game will get scrapped until someone can rebuild all the assets to not include a robot overrun world.

We can't know all the details, but most of the info so far is not favoring tencent in any way other than paying out a settlement.

Growing up with old CoD, Halo, GoW and BF, while all of them technically had some skill based MM, the nonsense we have today is flat out not fun.

I play CS2 where in casual there is no skill based MM, it's STILL more fun and ironically does just as good a job to set teams up equally. Usually there are 2-3 guys on each team carrying their teams, just like all these games with egregious and aggressive skill based MM where it's like playing ranked in casual.

Almost like it's not needed, huh.

I went to build a new research lab setup what included a "mechanical parts" storage, and I wasnt able to move the "keep full" slider. Shortly after I noticed my city power flashing red...the "keep full" on the loose storage (coal) for the boilers was at 0 and unmovable. I found another loose storage that wasnt 0, but as soon as I touched it, it went to 0 and I couldnt interact with it.

I hope that wasnt intentional, or maybe its something with my game? and before anyone asks, no mods..

It's not. Please do not turn it into a ride-on lawn-mower + slot-machine simulator like Last Epoch or Diablo 4.
