What are the two numbers next to your health and mana above your character. One is your hero level, but what's the other, with the white 'splat' background?

Sims 5 thoughts and requests...
Eleven years since Sims 4 was first released. EA must really be scraping the bottom of the barrel for further DLC so Sims 5 must be on the horizon.

Firstly I've almost none of the expansions and other DLC so I'm very much coming from a vanilla perspective.

1) Overall I think the look of the game, game systems, and game balance are all good. I think evolution rather than revolution here. Sims 4 plays better than Sims 3 and looks better than Sims 3 and felt far more in common with Sims 2.
2) Starting maps were a lot smaller than Sims 3 and Sims 2. I'd far more like bigger maps with more going on than ever more refined graphics. Even for base game there should be more to do.
3) Where you own the relevant maps Sim wants should take you to other areas and other activities. The basic play loop I felt was more repetitive than either Sims 2 or Sims 3. That's why having larger maps with more activities would be a big improvement.
4) Just throwing it out there for discussion. Perhaps as well as functional scores objects should have ambient scores for styles - Like Goth, corporate, tech, grunge, nature lover etc.
5) When browsing objects it would be good to have a button to indicate which one your Sim desires the most. This is why style scores are important - otherwise they are always going to ask for the most expensive. And some indication about how happy the new object would make them so you're not wasting money on something your Sim hates.
6) For stacks it should be far easier to sell some, not all, of the items.
7) I'd like to see shops again.
8) Did anyone consider that a Sims game in 2025 has no coffee shops ?
9) This is a pretty big one. Sims 2 had some very strange and unusual households - even in the base game. Sims 4 in comparison is the Stepford wives. It would be nice to have some real character about people and individualisation in interactions. Don't go any meaner than you have done in either 2 or 4 though because you'll end up with a radically different game experience.
10) You do realise that there's more to the world than the USA don't you ? Setting maps in the UK, France, Germany, Italy, India, China and Japan all offer interesting architecture and culture. I think everyone who lives somewhere else in the world could big up their own country.
11) Perhaps this is because I don't own the Seasons DLC but having a central area where various festivals are held would be good. Really swimming pools and seasons should be base game.
12) You could use the game engine to come up with various big variations on the game play. I'd love "Sim Soaps" where you'd dial up all the interactions and then at the end of each day the game would show you a playback of the most important events like a Soap. In Spinal Tap style turn everything up to 11. The UK alone provides four major different styles - Hollyoaks, Coronation Street, Eastenders, Emmerdale. Sims space station - think the fun people could have recreating Deep Space 9 or Babylon 5 using the Sims engine. The game you've created has far more potential than just creating new chairs and tables.

16gb vram is the better choice and build your own.

I see use over 16GB all the time, all I have open now is Discord and Steam and it's sat at 10.6GB use, granted I've not rebooted in a few days but still 16GB is low end now and for how cheap RAM is daft not to slap a load in.

Looks decent at a glance, I have the same motherboard and CPU in my build, only thing I would want better is the RAM, terrible timings on that RAM, I would want to know what SSD's they are using also personally, something like Crucial, Samsung, SKHyinx vs no name brand.
