This make no sense.
It makes perfect sense if you stop thinking about us as The Enemy and start looking at it in terms of opinions on business ethics, and a desire to be able to buy a game that hasn't been sabotaged in order to sell DLC down the line.

i.e. criticising something you like related to a game you want to play isn't the same as, say, slapping your mother across the face, or pushing you down some stairs; as much as some people may act like it is.

I'm not thinking about you as "The Enemy", i just disagree with your idea of business ethics in the videogames industry.

In my opinion the main issues in videogame industry, as i pointed out already, is that videogames are way too cheap. All of them.

To make you a simple example, if you want to play a tabletop RPG, like D&D 5.0 (which lasted from 2014 to 2024), you will spend hundreds, if not thousands, of dollars (at least as a dungeon master, which can compare to the "host" in Paradox games), because you have to buy the manuals, then the adventure books and the expansion books, etc. (which are optional, like DLCs in videogames).
D&D 5.0, full version, is almost 50 books (around 2.000 $). Then they release D&D 2024 and you'll have to pay again hundreds, or thousands, of dollars to buy the full version again.
And those are "just" books, they didn't need for sure as much money as you need to develop properly a videogame.
To buy Crusader Kings 2, full version (which lasted a decade, like D&D), you need between 100 and 200 $ dollars.
That's just too cheap...

Because videogames are too cheap they are usually poorly developed (with some rare exception). What i belive is crazy (and stupid) is that when a good game get released (and it's quite rare nowdays) it won't last more than 100-200 hours, then it will go into oblivion because SH are too scared to make DLCs and get review bombed.

Think of Baldur's Gate 3. Larian could have made half dozens of DLCs, which hundreds of thousands players would have been more than happy to buy, but they were scared to get negative review because of DLCs policy bad reputation.

Now i have to wait, and hope, for a game as good as Baldur's Gate 3 to be released, and i will probably "waste" hundreds of dollars trying bad games because there are no better options...

It's not realistic asking for a good videogame, in 2025, expecting to pay less than 100-150 $ for it.

For me there are only 2 solutions. Or SH start to sell games for 150-200 $ each that will be good enought even without DLCs, but i bet that many people will complain about the cost, or they start selling base versions of videogames for 50 $ (sometime great, sometime fine, sometime decent) and then release optional DLCs for 150 $ to make the game better.
