I can recommend Hire_A_Hitman, it lets you call a hitman onto any citizen as long as you know their house and name. Just save before you put these calls in as it can tend to be buggy. Also, I can recommend lethal action reborn, however it will cause random deaths throughout the city that are bugged and unsolvable.

You're not wrong OP. The machines dont really scale well.

My take:

Levels 1-3 are worth the gamble but after that it's best to save the gold and hp. If anything they should indicate to players when they'll explode. It wont make the game easier and the risks would still be there.

It would also allow the devs to make the loot even better because we'd know EXACTLY when there's a risk of explosion.

1- Right click on the game in your steam library and select Properties

2- Under the General section of properties, find the Launch Options

3- In the textbox, put in the following:
cmd /c "set OPENSSL_ia32cap=:~0x20000000 && %command%"

Now the next time you launch the game, the issue should be fixed!

However, this fix does have a few nuances with it:

A blank command prompt launches every time the game launches

Closing the prompt could close the game with it

The prompt also closes itself once you quit out of the game.

A little bit. There is a lot of nonsense about how you shouldn't kill criminals literally trying to kill you because "muh hoomunz". Other than that, it's pretty good.

There is way more Context to it then that
