It might also be noteworthy that there were three other spiritual successor projects, and all three of those teams quit in shame; although in the case of City of Titans, a brave team of backers swooped in to replace the original team and have continued the original Kickstarter team's work (a thankless position, since they're continuously confused with the original team, but I guess that just makes them all the more heroic).

There could potentially be a lot of people out there feeling very jealous and insecure about Ship of Heroes' launch. Particularly because when Ship of Heroes first came onto the scene, it was a good deal later than the others; some in those other teams (not everyone) side-eyed the new project, even calling it a "scam". You just know some of these people have got to be watching from beneath their rocks right now.

And, surprise, surprise, I still believe in these people. If I had my way, they would get back to work on their games. I've seen some of these people at their best. All of the successor projects had such different ideas from each other. Probably the one that narratively and aesthetically came closest to City of Heroes (just based on teased concept art, lore, and models), was Heroes and Villains, and I know half the community would want to punch me in the stomach for saying that, but it's objectively true. But I spent hours pouring over each project's concept art, lore, and other design teases. I had fully fleshed out character concepts ready to go for Valiance Online's superpowered, cyberpunk world. Truthfully, there wasn't a successor project that I didn't fall in love with. In a perfect world, I would get to play in them all.

I want to express this: like many others, I'm done waiting, but not many are speaking up. I'll just pay the money myself. Please release the game. Even better, release a 45-minute demo. I've been waiting for two years. Don't let GTAVI come out before this game.

infact I check like 4 devs I could find and most had hours on the game. They're still working on it

The original game did not have all those vestiges. Some were supposed to vary between NG and NG+. If you want the game to make you use shortcuts, flowers, and travel, you should on your next run ask for some level of vestige decay. Tremendous is PROBABLY a little much. (Are you going to even remember the path back to world 1 to open the door to the ice world?)

not 80 years ww2 was like 60 years ago...

I mean it was 37 years ago when I was born.....
and everything past 2000 was basicly last year.. so recent...

so.. basicly it's been 60 years since ww2 started;)
