Appreciate the response. I actually have been playing the game on Switch 2, and I've been really enjoying it so far. It could do with more checkpoints though, but from what I've read around here, it's easier said than done.

The different LOD sliders can be a big change. So if you haven't, try lowering those a bit.
Otherwise it might be the unfortunate effect of it being installed on an HDD, if you have hte option to install it on an SSD, that is always recommended for games these days.

You could also check nexus for some anti stutter mods, something might help from there.

That would just end up with people intentionally leaving a small hole in one place to force the bugs there, making them even dumber. AND it would cost extra processing for more detailed pathfinding.

Bugs are supposed to be a dumb wave, not an intelligent opponent, too.

What the OP is asking for is pretty much how they work when they find a wall anyway. They only attack the wall if they get frustrated at going too far off course, or if there are more of them than can fit through the opening.

And, the opening idea is rather useful. With the strategic placement of walls and turrets you can make a rather deadly kill zone, a virtual box canyon defense.

Alas, didn't work for me...bike stuck IN a mountain. Marker still there but can't get close enough to deconstruct. No part of bike visible. Tried every respawn trick.
