I never said you did need them? A separate paragraph signalled a separate issue. My i-frame comment wasn't linked to the dragon.

RPG to me has always signalled freedom to tackle problems with many methods. As many as a game can allow. All I see here is "forced second weapon use is a good thing for... reasons." Which to me is the antithesis of RPG.

Sadly DS series in RPG aspect is awful, so you can almost ignore all gimmicks and enemy defences.

Because the game is unarguably one of the best, and arguably the best, of its genre. Everyone, even those reviewing positively, willingly acknowledge that Reynad is too prideful and the community management is abysmal. But you cannot deny the fact that this game is objectively an amazing game.

I didn't like him as a HS streamer either, but I'm playing his game and not spending the night with him. So why should I suddenly start caring about what he does or says more than how much fun the game is? Almost all online communities especially on social media have lots of users who are far more abysmal so avoiding them solves the problem completely. I haven't felt for any need of communication from them other than what I got just by playing the game or watching streams. Something changes, my favorite streamers will probably tell me about it before I notice myself. Stop being so needy about getting told 100% sure plans for coming years or anything equally impossible and there is no problem.

I don't think we disagree, my friend. Though it should be stated that Reynad does have some degree of control over the product. I actually don't think that's a negative, either, because he seems to have a finger on the pulse with the actual game's content itself. But nobody can deny that Reynad's pride and ego are a PR disaster and that he needs to reign in his pride if he wants his game to succeed more. He is literally a deterrent against his own success.

We can both agree that PR shouldn't matter, that the quality of the product itself is what's important, but we both know that there exist many superficial people who care about whether or not even someone remotely involved with the dev team has an incorrect opinion, or genuinely does just act like a very prideful person. Reynad happens to be a very prideful person. If we, as normal, paying customers who care for the product first and foremost, want the game to have to rely less on heavy monetization and draw in more people, even those who care about these ultimately meaningless things, then yes, we, too, have to hope that Reynad quells his ego, because his deterring of that PR-reliant sector of potential customers ultimately makes it so those who just care about the game's quality will receive a lesser quality end product, as their income stream and profit margins will be reduced on the basis that many sales are lost.
