I know what I said. The only games with multiple universes are the Z series, V, X and the mobile games. And even if games like Z1 or V are well-liked, they're still criticised by people who have been with the series for well over a decade for being multiverse stories.

A new studio making a multiplayer only game or ip with a b2p model in this market is financial suicide, just look at the options you have without paying for anything. You are delusional if you don't think this is the biggest issue. Even if this game did launch f2p it is still going up against some very tough competition...

While going b2p is the graveyard and the coffin, I do agree that releasing with neither a ranked mode or sbmm is the biggest nail in the coffin. Even if they go f2p right now they probably need to mix it with either sbmm or ranked mode so they can separate the sweats (that don't smurf) from the noobs. Going up against sweats in this game is not like other games where you can maybe get a few kills or win some rounds, in Wildgate you don't stand a fighting chance.

Unless going f2p makes the population explode to the point where sweats being in games becomes a rare occurence, but I doubt it.

You're going to have to do much better than a generic boogieman story built up on a foundation of what-ifs. And if Europe, with triple the population of Russia can't put together a force capable of stopping Russia, that's their problem. If Europeans were all that concerned they'd quit buying Russian oil and giving Putin the money to rebuild that army.
