the game has got a much bigger issue anyway, which is cheating, they can't solve that yet; solving the smurfing problem usually comes after that, since there just can't be enough balanced games because of cheaters in the current state.

how would you determine if somebody has willingly deranked to smurf or deranked due to cheaters for example? if you don't know who was cheating

I've always been global elite on wingman (not much of an achievement I know) since it came out, then about 1 year prior to CS2's release CSGO's overwatch system was sabotaged by cheaters so essentially the game was left without an anticheat at all. I've been running into cheaters on wingman pretty often and the ranking system was pretty unfair at that time (8 wins in a row, 1 tie and 1 loss = derank; 19 wins in a row — no promotion; etc) — so I fell to gold nova 2, from global.

I didn't want to play on GN2. matches I didn't face cheaters were always ending 9-0, 9-1, 9-2 at max. then I was getting enough reports to face a spinbotter and all my progress towards higher ranks was being reset basically, go win another 24 in a row.

I've been on gold novas for like half a year, until for some reason cheaters pretty much vanished for me with CS2 coming out, despite everybody else reporting that cheating has never been this bad. I've been winning 9-0 9-2 against new players who are still learning the game for half a year, while having 4k+ matches, it didn't feel fulfilling for me and I'm sure they didn't like it either.

if there were bans for smurfing in this game, on top of all other problems, I, for one, would've also been banned for smurfing.

Less focus on science (which I used to do spread faster bacteria faster) and more focus on power and food. I still ended up with 2/1/2/3 terraforming - with plenty of resources I could build many terraforming buildings.

This seams similar to my early game, though i went so far as to remove the teraforming almost entirely, but you have a nice hybrid allowing for many animal options. I tend to get one atmosphere because i like using the deragable. getting 1 explore every turn is pretty good for my play style.

in response to your tritium deficiency in your game, one option would be to build the stock of 5 power, then destroy buildings do you can place them all in one turn :D The read planet game form a few months ago, I had one city surrounded with mines, but their was no way i could slow build them, so i stockpiled and built all the mins at once so i could clam victory while voiding the massive negatives that came with long distances. 3 mines i think were 4 tiles away, and the mega structure that increased all output by 1 would have hit me for a high negative as well.

Yeah i must confess i was dissapointed by lack of any RPG like word from Bethesda during Gamescom. There were only streams of ESO, DOOM and Indy.
No word about TES, Fallout, Starfield. Im just sad, nothing more.

As a Gen Zer myself, I'd say it's pretty much game over for us politically at this point.
