System Specs:

CPU: Intel i7-14700K

GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 (Driver 580.88)

RAM: [insert amount & speed]

OS: Windows 11 Pro (UEFI, Secure Boot Enabled, TPM 2.0 Ready, GPT partition)

PSU: [insert brand/wattage, e.g., 850W Gold]

Game Storage: D:\ (SSD)

Issue:
While playing Battlefield 6 Open Beta, the game runs fine for a few minutes, then abruptly closes to desktop without warning, OR displays the following DirectX 12 error:

DirectX function “device2->CreatePipelineState(&graphicsStreamDesc, _uuidof(ID3D12PipelineState), (void**)&dx12pso)” failed with E_INVALIDARG (“An invalid parameter was passed to the returning function.”).

No BSOD after the latest troubleshooting — just a straight crash or DX error.

Steps I’ve Taken:

Full Windows reinstall (fresh OS + updates).

Clean NVIDIA driver install using DDU in Safe Mode:

Removed all NVIDIA drivers, then installed latest Game Ready Driver 580.88 (custom → clean install).

Reinstalled EA Javelin Anti-Cheat:

Deleted all EA AC files and allowed the game to reinstall them.

Verified system meets all anti-cheat requirements:

BIOS Mode: UEFI ✅

Secure Boot: Enabled ✅

TPM 2.0: Ready ✅

Boot Drive: GPT partition ✅

Disabled overlays (NVIDIA GeForce Experience, Discord, Xbox Game Bar, MSI Afterburner OSD).

Cleared DirectX & Battlefield shader caches (in %LocalAppData%, Documents\Battlefield 2042\cache, and game install folder).

VRAM underclock of –200 MHz via MSI Afterburner to address possible VRAM instability.

Tested with DX12 (default) and DX11 via -dx11 launch option — crash occurs in both.

Monitored system temps:

CPU: ~80–85°C under load

GPU: within safe range (no thermal throttling)

Confirmed PSU capacity (850W, <1 year old).

Result:

After the above steps, BSODs stopped.

However, I still get random crash to desktop or DirectX pipeline errors after several minutes of gameplay.

Happens in Conquest and other modes, regardless of map or settings.

Sometimes crash is silent, sometimes it throws the DX12 CreatePipelineState error above.

Request for Help:

Is this a known beta build issue with DX12 pipeline creation?

Are there additional config flags or engine.ini changes that can help stabilize DX12 in this build?

Could this still be anti-cheat related despite all requirements being met?

Would rolling back to a previous NVIDIA driver be more stable for this beta?

Any dev insight or community fixes would be greatly appreciated — I’ve ruled out most hardware causes and am leaning toward a game/driver-level issue.
