so i played detective mode - but i still get knocking at the door and footsteps. now i dont know if its part of the environment but that freaks me out

The lets play that I watched, the you tuber played some in detective mode and yes there were noises but nothing happened, we were safe. I liked that....

OP, are you just cooled down? What happens when you try to launch a premiere match?

It's telling me to purchase prime account status which I used to have. I didn't really play much premiere. It's not a cool down. I got a message, similar to when a user messages you, telling me I have a VAC ban and it said how I was supposed to appeal, but the appeal process is just another dead end. They will deny you without explanation. It's kinda crazy.

Counterpoint, he DOES clean stuff up (if you check the flavor text in the kitchen at the end of chapter 4 the fur clogging the drain is gone and the flowers in the garbage have been watered)

When I the player interact with the trumpet, it could start to play a trumpet rendition of some song, or short sound effect. Then, my friends around me, hear the default, out of tune trumpet. This creates the effect that the user believes they have musical genius. While those around them, their peers laugh because it is out of tune. Imagine how Squidward sounds in his own head, vs when he is heard by an audience.

The game crashed in the middle of the Quarrite boss fight. And I lost all my gear. Is there a way to get it back?

If your playing Conquest, they are simply rushing forward because they are pathing to a set objective, namely one of the cap zones. Once there, they do behave a bit more like older games, moving around a bit, using cover, throwing grenades, etc.

I was playing the campaign. The enemy "attack" on US mission 2 was a joke on heroic. The infantry AI is much better when attacking in Men of War.

Thanks, so would that be what Steam installed? Is the Steam app smart enough to not install things that can't actually run on the platform it's being used upon?

Nope. If you installed it now, Steam would just give you the default branch, and you'd just get an error message on launch. You'd have to switch it over manually.

...and that's different or something other than GPU Passthrough mode in VMWare Workstation, etc?

I'm not actually sure if it would be encompassed in GPU passthrough. The Direct Mode interfaces are a set of extremely fragile propietrary sytems that GPU vendors like to break in every other driver update. I would have very little faith in it working.
