so its just fog + audio. You invested god knows how many hours for a voxel engine, why not sinkholes, hazardous terrain etc. instead of just fog+audio.

yeah i just saw this game with such an interesting look and so sad to see devs seems to not working anymore on it :(

devs stopped working on it because they killed it with terrible decisions and refused to listen to community members who had genuine critique and suggestions

I have 30 years of experience and we deal with several titles. I know what I'm talking about.

So I'm on spinach island at the village doing the side quest for the spirit seller guy but I'm at the point where he wants me to read the book but I don't see it as a physical item in my inventory, I've checked both my regular items section and the key items and there's no book and talking to the seller he repeats to read it and I don't see anywhere to stand or interact to use it on the beach near the seller either. What do I do?

You got lucky? I was able to beat it solo multiple times before the update. As soon as I went into the new biome I dealt with too tough of hazards... The sun (which gives you burn effect) Visual effects (you are in the "desert") Cacti danger (if you touch it its hard to get off and remove spikes) Multiple powerful tornadoes (spawns anywhere, is fast and moves dangers around you while tracking you down... also pulls you towards it from a far distance away, its close to impossible to outrun it....)
All together this is the most dangerous biome this game has ever had... They made it too dangerous and it needs to be fixed, even the last biome has never been that dangerous to go through...

Your problems and my solutions.
The sun: Stop standing in it.
Visual effects: I barely get any on max visual settings. This is just a low level swing on a mob boss. Try again.
Cacti danger: Climb on any surface and you can remove all that arent on your face.
Tornado: Typically when it spawns, you know where it is. Just get into cover.

It all depends on the law itself and how far the law reached. Technically, SoC isn't in Europe and none of its servers are there, so they do not need to follow any laws or rules set there. But if the laws want to be "personal", and forbid any online games who isn't stationed in Europe to be played at all by Europeans, then you'll have to embrace the worst since SoC may stop servicing Europe areas or they may be outright banned by the European government until they (XD Hong Kong) setup an office or sub-contract an European publisher to hold their "local" server there for the European players.

As far as i am concerned, that law is mainly there to deter Ubisoft. But who knows what mayhem may it caused to others?
It's definitely better for the health of European consumers, that i can be sure, but "healthy" isn't always the thing sought after by the majority.

I just finished it solo, it was hard in the beginning, but then it got easier by better preperation! Have fun with it! And im praying for more updates! It has huge potential for more fun bossfights and mechanics! Its one of those games you just wanna boot up and play to progress and youre really sad when content is done ;c

You just had to, turn off your psu, remove your psu cable, turn on the psu, maybe try to press the power button of your computer with the cable still off, turn on your psu, put the cable back on, done, i did it and it worked without any other issues and i still have secure boot on. My motherboard is a Gigabyte B650 Eagle AX .

If it takes away the challenge, just don't pick this cornerstone. Make it your personal challenge.

If you take that approach, then everything you do comes into question. Every time you win a game with some combo, you have to ask "is that overpowered, do I need to never use that again?" It strips all the fun out of the game to not be able to use anything powerful. It is the designers of the game who need to balance it, not the players.

All that said, I do think that improvised tools is fine as it is, but I just really dislike the response of "balance it yourself".

There is no need to overcomplicate things. If something feels OP, you know you can avoid it, no reason to question everything.

Yeah, this Cornerstone is among strongest Cornerstones to pick, but not the only one. Also if you started playing recently, try to climb up the difficulty to see whether it is overpowered or not, on low difficulties everything is powerfull. :)
