loyal player here and I'm just walking away gonna go play battlebit where there are hardly any cheaters without having to grant a corporation (that will harvest my data and sell it to the highest bidder for another cash injection so they can fund the next theft) kernel level acess to my os. Never cheated in my life, never will. but this just seems super unfun and ret-conning anyone who is playing on an older system (mines not old but i dont have the safe boot enabled, and dont really know how to without bricking my computer because im not tech savy enough for that). I just cant help but think their has to be a better way than giving a giant corporation unregulated access to my computer. you can jester and hate this post all you want but i dont know how you can be okay with giving kernel access to someone. had this exact same issue with gearbox in a PVE game worried about cheaters, when i know that the people who own gear box are just harvesting all of our data and will sell it to the highest bidder because there are no laws against it. just couldn't be me you know.
