So when you take a mod and upload it to other areas and use it as a method of distribution that is a no-no. Even worse is that other wrongs can be piled on top of it like trying to sell it, inserting malware, putting on sites that generate ad revenue. To be clear I'm not saying you did any of the latter things you obviously seem like you mean well. But just that upload to distribute is an issue however.

Think of it like YouTube. Even if a video on YouTube isn't monetized you wouldn't rip and and upload it elsewhere. Even though in this mod largely uses files that are owned by VOID the issue is even the smallest unique thing is owned by the mod creator.

Unless you have permission to do this you are doing something wrong. So you and that unnamed Reddit accomplice should pause on this, seek permission and then continue only if you get permission from the mod creator.

All i used it as is an archive, thats it, because i knew nexus was going to be booty tickled about it long before given their history. But now the archives are gone. Luckily the reddit post that has thousands of upvotes in r/readyornot i sent the post creator the files and he has them all there so that will stay as an archive. And if anything ever gets taken down ill just post them back up on reddit.

But they aren't yours to post back up onto Reddit, that is the issue. Let's say eman (The mod creator) decided tomorrow that he was converting to Jainism and because of that he can no longer in good conscience be associated with any form of violence even fictional. So he takes down his mods. This would be fully in his right and even then you would be in the wrong to continue to post them anywhere else.

You do not own that mod. Eman owns the parts he contributed, and VOID owns the parts they created. You should under no circumstance ever distribute it without permission.

they can be annoying sometimes but its cool asf to fly one in GRB ngl, also pretty sure gajin tried or tested a gamemode without them and it just made people camp each other all game which sounds way more boring than having CAS. This game is 3rd person with free cam with c + the binoculars it makes sense to need the planes with unrealistic camera view giving the camper a huge advantage and pusher a massive disadvantage from the camper having eyes behind cover.

Are u sure CAS spawn for camper? Planes rarely aim camper, mostly airplane only aim their killer (revenge kill), capturing or moving enemy. No way they spotted camper unless the enemy were tagged by teammate, in this case if camper tagged its easy to push with tank anyway....

Yeah, steam workshop support is only a maybe at the very bottom of Martis priority list. And even then is only planned to cover sharing image edits more easily. Not all that exciting.

Modding itself may not be officially supported at the moment, but to me it is actually already easier than the original in many regards.

Basically you can just get back into it with everything you know still applying to the remaster. Just some minor format and structure changes.
