I'm just curious, why do so many people hate the beam? I understand it is not supposed to be there and yes it just seems silly... just not sure why a 100% visual thing that is only in the offering screen and has 0 impact on any matches or anything is so hated.

Just got stuck after entering a portal because I could only take him down to about 40% hp and then after we both "escape" and I fight again he's fully healed and I'm just stuck here in limbo.

There's really nothing simple about that, unfortunately. It is rather easy to add your own hero sprites, if you've got some OC you want to send off to die in a dungeon, you can do it! Lots of people do. But an editor isn't really in the cards for Dungeonmans.

Revisiting how the hero character is drawn and (gasp) animated, including something representing the gear you acquire, is just beyond the scope of the stuff I want to do in *this* game.

I second this, where the hell is the so called storage? is it only about modules? does the ship itself have a value of zero??

So I have been playing the Ab Beta, the Beta and, the full game with about 250 hours of game applied between all versions and only now the worst issue has nyctomorphosied itself. The Pre Game Lobby Is Too Loud. It Needs To Be Able To Be Muted. Even If just opening the pause menu ends the sounds, it needs to stop. The past few lobbies I have been in enemy players have been congregating on the top of my ship, and the amount of footstep sounds gives me a massive headache making me unable to play the game with my crew. As a player with phonophobia and mispgonia as well as hyperacusis, I really have a hard time playing past the first 3 minutes of a round (lobby)
