You seriously screwed up the killer experience in 2v8, it's survivor sided as heck. Even with the option to play survivor while queueing up as killer you still need to wait half an hour to get into a match that only lasts 10 minutes at most. I've only won two killer games after all this time, every other match was a loss. That's how survivor sided this gamemode is.

The most egregious issue you can encounter as a killer in 2v8 are afk/bot teammates which turns the mode into 1v8 basically. You should consider adding a manual confirmation for killers once their lobby is ready to make sure they're actually there to play the game otherwise they simply screw over their mate. Alternatively you should compensate the other killer player by putting them at the front of the next queue if their mate is afk or has disconnected mid-match.

You really need to nerf the Guide class, too. Giving them access to Blast Mine is such a dirty thing to do, the perk quite literally has no counterplay and guarantees that the killer won't be able to regress the gen without being locked out of the match for 5 entire seconds in a mode where every single second matters more than ever.

Chases in 2v8 don't get shorter, they're still as long as in regular 1v4 or possibly even longer due to an overabundance of pallets. Meanwhile the repairtimes for the survivors have been drastically lowered. This is very questionable balancing. The only way to deal with this issue is to hunt down a single survivor as a killer duo but this gives 7 other survivors enough time to rush their gens. The pressure simply isn't there.

so, so much wrong

1. you act as if killer waiting times weren't long in 1V4, play while you wait is a good solution to that, you cannot artificially create a playerbase
2. it's not survivor sided, let me deconstruct your points

- afk/bot teammates are a thing for survivors too and 1V4 as well, there's nothing you can do about that and it's certainly not a reason to say the gamemode is sided, on the other note by queing in 2V8 as killer you accept this risk, if you do not want to take that risk into consideration play 1V4, but players being afk is not the devs fault,

- The medic is more powerful than the guide, 2 coordinated medics can take you into chase, force you to hit both of them, use power simultaneously and be healthy instantly, that is far more time lost than 5 seconds. and it can be countered, with my next point

- killers that play together can turn 15 seconds chases into 5 second chases, you can counter every option a survivor has to escape you if you chase with your teammate, and then quickly switch to more targets and snowball through that, from my experience, the matches I won always were ones where we both aided each other in chases. you say that the pressure isn't there, but trust me that a single down loses them a lot of time.
mutliple ideas on what to do after your first cage : find the cage, and proxy camp three gens around it, survivors tend to repair gens near caged people to buy time, make that a weakness, second, find a group of survivors working on one gen and make sure they can't make this one progress, if you can get a down, you get more snowball potential
