I’m sending this message on behalf of Mystery Encoder.

For those looking at lightgun support, I don't work for FE nor do I have any interest in their profit or etc. But I do understand things from a developer/game developer perspective. I've been one and I've worked in that industry (GDC and E3 badges as proof of being an exhibitor at both in the past). Stop blaming the developers for the lack of lightgun support and advocate for those who are profiting off of selling these accessories to you to create easy to use SDKs/libraries (Both that integrate with Unity/Unreal Engine and available as an SDK where propietary engines are used)... they made profit off of you created zero standard then blamed the developers for the lack of support and allow their staff to tell people to go get a refund stating the lack of support. And if that support is based on their 'joystick' mode don't let them put the onus on the user and tell them they need to integrate the ability to force the gun into that mode when the game launches through that same library, it shouldn't be a headache to get it working for one game and go back to another mode.

Go get a refund on your guns stating the lack of advocating for developers to have proper SDKs/implementation details. There are 10+ 'lightgun' solutions available, there's zero standard around any of the community, there are 4 different feedback applications and minimal documentation on integration with them.

It is not fair to criticize developers for the lack of lightgun support even if the game was a 'lightgun' game, as the person who made a fix for both of the HOD remakes at this point I still feel no ill will towards FE and actually am angry with the people selling these products and their staff instead.

People/users of these products need to understand from a developer perspective it's not just "Turn on raw input" also.

TL;DR blame the lightgun manufacturers for the lack of lightgun support not developers of games.

And fwiw, I'm not saying other critcism isn't fair around the textures missing and etc, there was certianly a lack of QA/proper testing around the achievements and etc. But those are my gripes with the lightgun community specifically.
