If you get into melee range, you have to learn how to "dance". Move away while attacking, if possible. Never stand still.

These are zombies not military... Wearing a bunch of backed steel plates on your body should prevent abrasions, concussions broken bones, etc. I get the tanking complaint and the argument about melee people are making is weird too. In an apocalypse ammo would be scarce. Learning how to deal with things at close range would be huge for survival.

Modern military armor would prevent soldiers from taking most of these critical injuries too. It was designed to prevent this kind of thing and a bird clawing at your full armored helmet shouldn't give you a concussion, bleed and an abrasion all at once or ever. I get giving 100% resistance to status would be busted but just the sheer odds of getting these is insanely high.

I can't tell you how many times I've gotten hit 1 time running from a horde then get nailed with stun and another status like bleed. They could balance this by making it reduce the time/effect of the status like shorter bleed duration for heavy armor, sprain instead of break, heavy helmet high resistance to concussion.

Hell, World War Z used phone books and magazines to help protect themselves. One could reason that there should be some layer of protection that would stop abrasions at the minimum.

Also, why has it been over 12 years and TFP still havent gotten Splints and Casts right?
